On 30th January at St Augustine's Priory Inchon, Korea Brothers Kim Dae-Lo (Thomas Aquinas), Kim Bok-Chon (Johan) and Kim Eun-Suk (Andrea) made their religious professions as Augustinians (Region of Korea).On 20th February Br Suk In-Seok (Jacobo) will make his solemn profession. The Australian Province of the Order along with our many friends who support the Korean mission congratulate Thomas, Johan, Andrea and Jacobo on their respective professions.

During February there will be various celebrations of the 50th anniversaries of the priestly ordinations of Fathers Rod Cameron, Bernie Connolly (9th February) and Paul Dempsey (4th March). Celebrations will take place in: Mareeba, Coorparoo (Brisbane), Manly Vale (Sydney), Rochester and South Yarra. The Australian Province received news of the death in Ireland of Fr Pat Duggan OSA on 18th January 2000. Fr Pat served in Australia for many years. In the period 1946 to 1956 he ministered in Innisfail, South Johnstone, Silkwood, Tully, Herberton, Cairns and Mossman (all in the Cairns Diocese.) From 1957 to 1983 he was mainly in Echuca except for a brief period in Kyabram. May Fr Pat and all deceased Augustinians who worked in Australia rest in God's peace.
