- During this month, Fr Paul Dempsey OSA celebrates the 50th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood (4th March) and Fr Laurie Mooney OSA celebrates the 40th anniversary of his profession as an Augustinian. Congratulations to Fathers Paul and Laurie.

- The Augustinians in Australia recently received news of the death
in Ireland of Fr Francis Xavier Martin OSA (13th February
2000). This well renowned scholar and historian had visited Australia
on several occasions. He was Visiting Professor at La Trobe University
(Melbourne) in 1972 and later Visiting Scholar at Australian National
University, Canberra to where he returned three times. Fr Martin was
a great authority on James Goold (the first Augustinian to minister
in Australia). May F. X. Martin rest in God's peace!
